Ride On: Make the Surroundings Part of the Demonstration
Cowboy
An environment can demonstrate the proposed benefit of a product, provided the audience still understands what the product actually does.
Make a proposed experience understandable without expanding the offer. For a fictional reading-room service, sketch two versions of the same desk rather than two unrelated beautiful rooms. Keep the text, chair and person constant. Change only the way the surrounding activity is represented, so a viewer can identify the proposed difference. This creates a more testable story than a general montage of calm interiors. The visual treatment can suggest a useful experience, but it cannot establish concentration or learning. Ask the team to write a plain sentence that the scene is intended to communicate and a second sentence naming the claim it is not entitled to make.
