Mummy: the mistaken-identity platform

Separate a repeatable narrative structure from an unfair assumption, and test recognition independently from endorsement.
Maintain recognition across varied stories A repeatable ending is not the same as a universally appropriate premise. Write the narrative as a sequence of information: initial impression, new evidence and revised understanding. Then ask what social belief makes the surprise possible. A small organisation could retain that sequence while replacing a judgement about a person with a discovery about an object’s function. This preserves the lesson in narrative design without carrying an appearance hierarchy into new work. Test whether viewers can explain the new evidence, rather than whether they agree with the original stereotype. The structure is useful only when the revelation adds understanding instead of rewarding an unfair assumption.
