The Call: Let the Product Become the Setting
BoConcept
A dramatic scene can make a room worth watching without pausing to sell every object, but the audience still needs a reason to connect the story with the brand.
Connect an entertaining scene with a relevant offer. Before selecting objects for a scene, describe what the setting needs to communicate about the situation. Is it orderly, temporary, shared, formal or difficult for the character to navigate? A fictional room can support a story through those relationships without a character naming a product. Remove the proposed environment from the storyboard and ask what becomes harder to understand. If the answer is nothing, the product may be only decorative placement. That can still have a role, but it should not be described as essential storytelling. The distinction helps a team decide how much narrative weight the brand can reasonably carry.
